April 27, 2009

DEAD BY APRIL, the Swedish "pop/metal" act featuring former members of NIGHTRAGE, BY NIGHT, EVILDOER, MINDFALL and DEATHDESTRUCTION, will release their debut digital single in the U.K. on May 11 via Spinefarm Records. Titled "Losing You", the song will be available with bonus cut "My Saviour" plus the video for the title track.

DEAD BY APRIL will make its debut U.K. appearance with a headline show on May 27 at the Barfly in Camden Town, North London. A support act will be announced shortly.

DEAD BY APRIL's first album was produced by Henrik Edenhed, who has previously worked with ROBYN, LAMBRETTA, TEDDYBEARS, CHRISTIAN WALTZ and THE SOUNDS. A summer release via Universal Music Sweden is expected.

According to the group's official bio, "DEAD BY APRIL is a collaboration between some free-spirited, like-minded musicians. It has evolved from just being a project to a full-time band in a very short amount of time."

"Losing You", the first official video from DEAD BY APRIL, can be viewed below.
